Investigation Services - Misconduct
Investigating employee complaint of misconduct Examples of recent investigations that MCAA have undertaken for Government organsiations.
• Complex investigation into corruption within a government organisation with the requirement of an Investigator to be working for the organisation for 2-3 days a week for 9 months. Matter was oversighted by corruption body and MCAA was the lead investigator for the organisation.
• Investigation into allegations of nepotism and collusion in recruiting and contract awarding by Senior Executives.
• Investigation into the financial mismanagement and improper relationship with a service provider of a remote business unit of a government agency.
• Investigation of misconduct allegations of inappropriate comments on social media from a current government employee about their government employer.
• Investigation into noncompliance with security procedures and policy for a government agency in relation to senior employees “losing devices and keys” in an extremely sensitive environment.

• Misconduct investigation (Public Interest Disclosure) oversighted by corruption body into allegations of misconduct/corruption by Commissioners of organisation.

Investigation Services - Bullying
Workplace review of a government agency after a dysfunctional business unit was identified through an annual employee survey, which also evidenced an increase in complaints. MCAA were engaged to interview all employees within the unit, which identified other stakeholders of importance to interview. A report was provided which identified the root cause of the issue and identified solutions to improve the workplace. • Fact finding investigation into complaints of bullying by a Senior Executive.

Corruption investigation of senior officer in relation to inappropriate relationships with contractors, conflicts of interest, gifts and benefits and illegal use of resources.
